The focus of this interactive presentation will be practical implementation and understanding relevant challenges, opportunities and starting points.
Breakout B: From Idea to Impact: Creating Large-Scale Events
In this workshop, you'll discover the essential steps to create a large-scale event or festival. Covering everything from budgeting and permits to vendor coordination and timelines, you'll learn practical strategies for planning, managing logistics, and executing a flawless event from start to finish. Ideal for aspiring event planners!

Breakout A: Public Art in Parks: An introduction to public art and how art used in parks and the public space, can create community engagement, civic pride and economic development.
Breakout B: Building Successful Programs: This session aim is helping recreation professionals increase community engagement through programs tailored to their community. We will walk through a sample program evaluation worksheet recognizing if a program is a good fit for their community and department. Understanding the specific needs of our community and agencies vision, will foster community connections and contribute to the overall well-being of residents.

Using Nature-based Education to create Equity, Opportunity, and Well-being: From root to sky, nature is our classroom and should be shared and enjoyed by all. However, because of systemic issues, many have been excluded, creating a health and wellness disparity. How do we work with community partners to create equitable opportunities in nature-based learning for underrepresented communities to improve participants’ mental and emotional well-being?
