Playground Maintenance Course- Marion County
The National Recreation and Park Association's Playground Maintenance Course is a one-day (6.25 hour) educational course that provides participants with an understanding of basic playground hazards, applying safe maintenance practices on equipment, identifying surfacing types and proper maintenance procedures, and establishing proper record keeping practices. Participants receive a certificate upon completion of the Playground Maintenance Course. Please be advised this is not an Inspector Certification.

Jeff Barber is one of the creators of NRPA Playground Maintenance Course. He has been an instructor of the CPSI course for about 10 years and has extensive experience in the recreational industry. Starting out as an installer in 1994, he developed a long career in design, sales, maintenance, and manufacturing around the Maryland, DC, and Virginia area.Class Size: Limited Spaces. Registration is first come, first served. Registrations will not be accepted without payment. Individual spaces will not be held until payment is received.
Cancellation/Substitution/Accommodations Policies
• Cancellations must be submitted in writing and received by April 15, 2025 in order to receive a refund of the registration fee less $75 for manuals plus a $125 service charge.
• No refunds will be granted if request is received after April 15, 2025
• Substitutions for those unable to attend will be allowed. Substitutions must receive prior approval from FRPA and must be at least one week in advance of the course
• Any accommodation requests must be placed in writing to the FRPA offices before April 12, 2025
