Established in 2012, the Palm Island Mitigation Site supports shorebird nesting throughout Charlotte County. This session will discuss post hurricane adaptive management, active habitat restoration and monitoring by County PNR staff and partners which have led to record Least Tern and Black Skimmer nesting in 2025.

Program Playground

Program Playground is an interactive, hands-on training focused on turning creative ideas into executable recreation programs. Participants will learn a simple framework for program planning, explore what makes a strong program, and leave with a fully structured program concept ready to pilot in their community.

FRPA will provide certificate of completion of the approved amount of CEUs following events, in person or virtual. It is the professional's responsibility to maintain these records for any appropriate certifications. We ask that if you are ill that you do not attend FRPA functions in person.
