Webinar - Our Role in Supporting the Unhoused

Like many cities, the District of Columbia has had to deal with the complicated conversation of homelessness in public park spaces. This session will discuss how Franklin Park, in downtown D.C,. has developed a six-step philosophy on how to engage the unhoused with intentional and inclusive programming.

Learning Objectives:

• Identify methods to engage human services providers to partner with in support of individuals experiencing homelessness.
• Identify some programs and activities that allow for individuals experiencing homelessness to feel comfortable and welcomed.
• Learn how to engage homeless guests in our parks with less apprehension.
