This 60-minute program is designed to train the attendees in: design, maintenance, operation, performance, and compliance of Florida’s Permitted Storm Water Pond systems. The program is intended to impart knowledge and positive behavior change to park and recreation employees who are responsible for the operation of stormwater facilities.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify all functional aspects of storm water system design and will achieve a 60% knowledge gain as measured by pre versus post program surveys.
- Recognize maintenance issues that need to be addressed to support the operation of an efficient and effective storm water treatment and attenuation facility. Participants will achieve a 60% knowledge gain as measured by pre versus post program surveys.
- Identify the potential for small structural and operational) failures in the storm water treatment and attenuation facility, before there is a need for large construction or reconstruction of the permitted facility.
