Session will discuss Tampa’s framework for coordinating different types of special events. The content will provide perspective for scenarios involving outside event promoters utilizing city space, co-produced or partnered events, and national or one-time events.
10-11am: Sponsorships – Turning park amenities into fundraising opportunities
Learn how to turn park amenities into fundraising opportunities by engaging local businesses and organizations to sponsor high-trafficked, and niche market amenities.
11-12pm: Parks and Nature-Based Events
Learn to create nature-related events that are inspiring and engaging for those of all ages. Participants will learn how to use resources for non-formal educational programs to create engaging programs.
12-1p: Lunch & Roundtable Discussion
1-2p: Community Partners and City Buy-In
To have a successful event, you need to have community support and buy in from administration and other departments. This course helps you make it happen.
