How do plants work? How do they interact with the environment? How do they defend themselves? We will investigate the fascinating and complex Plant Kingdom in an introduction to Botanical Science.
Bulletproof Planning: A Guide to Event Preparation & Management
Learn the fundamentals of event planning by creating detailed guides for stakeholders, identifying target audiences within diverse communities, and utilizing community-driven engagement strategies. This session will provide practical tools to design inclusive, well-organized events that align with audience needs while fostering collaboration and support from local partners.

Collaborating to Bring Events to Parks
Identify collaboration opportunities for events and recognize the importance of collaboration and good communication. We will also discuss event outcomes to prepare for future events.

Thriving with Florida’s Native Plants: Expert Care and Maintenance Tips
In this program, we will be discussing the differences in ‘traditional’ maintenance techniques and ‘informed’ ones, and the short and long term benefits of doing things the right way. We will also discuss different types of plants (wildflowers, groundcovers, woody shrubs, etc) and maintenance tips for these categories.
Keys to Successful Sponsorships
Finding sponsors can be a great way to enhance your events or programs. However, when you bring in sponsors being prepared to give them a great experience is key or it could end up being more trouble than it is worth. In this course we will go over ideas and examples of how you can attract and land sponsors and give them a great experience.

High Performance and Utility Turf Management Principles for West Central Florida
Marketing & Evaluation of Events
The before and after of an event can be just as impactful as event day! We will look at some ways to market an event to your community and take a look at what makes a successful event After Action.
Session 5 - 2:45-3:30 pm
Growing Leaders from the Ground Up
Together we will observe leadership through the lens of Mother Nature, discussing the natural development of leaders and discovering that the greatest examples of successful leadership can be found right in our backyard and within everyone’s reach.
FRPA will provide certificate of completion of the approved amount of CEUs following events, in person or virtual. It is the professional's responsibility to maintain these records for any appropriate certifications. We ask that if you are ill that you do not attend in person FRPA functions.
